It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Bhupinder Singh “Pinder” Pannu of Kamloops, B.C., who passed away on May 22, 2026, at the age of 72.
Pinder is lovingly remembered by his wife, Narinder Pal Kaur “Nellu” Pannu; his sons, Amanpal Singh Pannu and Harshawn Pal Singh Pannu; his daughter-in-law, Shannon Pannu; his grandson, Kallum Singh Pannu; his five sisters, Kuldeep Sekhon, Perminder Sandhu, Rajdeep Bhullar, Kaval Pannu, and Jeiven Randhawa; as well as a large extended family and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Hardial Singh Pannu and Davinder Kaur Pannu.
Born in Raikot, Ludhiana District, Punjab, India, on September 20, 1953, Pinder immigrated to Kamloops, British Columbia, with his family in 1958, where he would spend the rest of his life building lasting friendships and becoming a cherished member of the community. Pinder worked as an automotive mechanic for most of his adult life, earning the respect and admiration of countless customers, colleagues, and friends. Known for his kindness, generosity, and gentle nature, he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He expressed his love through acts of service and took great pride in helping others, never expecting anything in return.
Pinder will be remembered for his warm heart, unwavering compassion, and the genuine care he showed to everyone he met. His presence touched many lives, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A funeral service will be held at Schoening Funeral Service in Kamloops on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
A prayer service and lunch will follow at the Kamloops Sikh Cultural Society.
