‘You don’t want to sit on it for too long’; Red-hot Stankoven, Hurricanes await conference final opponent
RALEIGH — Logan Stankoven and his Carolina Hurricanes have torn through the first two rounds of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The 5-foot-8, 165-pound forward from Kamloops and his linemates Jackson Blake and Taylor Hall have combined for 14 goals, 31 points, 72 shots, a plus-25 rating and five-game winning goals in eight post-season games – all wins.
“Yeah, it’s pretty cool,” said Stankoven, who has two game-winning goals in the playoffs. “I mean, you don’t want to sit on it for too long and think about how great it is because we still have lots of work to do and I think our job is far from finished. But, it’s obviously awesome.”
