Peacock has officially greenlit a Fast & Furious television series, announced by franchise star Vin Diesel at NBCUniversal’s upfront presentation Monday. Diesel initially claimed four shows were in development, though sources confirm only one is currently moving forward at Universal TV. “For the last decade, we have realized that the fans have wanted more,” Diesel stated onstage alongside Jimmy Fallon. Plot details remain confidential, but Diesel promised to honor the films’ legacy. This marks the second Fast & Furious TV adaptation, following Netflix’s animated Spy Racers series. There have been 11 films in the franchise to date, with Fast Forever set to release in 2028.
