Stankoven talks dominant line, timely goals, team defence, Buffalo-Montreal, Hurricanes’ beer skates

KAMLOOPS — Carolina Hurricanes’ centre Logan Stankoven and his linemates Jackson Blake and Taylor Hall have combined for 14 goals, 17 assists, 72 shots, a plus-25 rating and five-game winning goals in eight post-season games.

Stankoven, whose Hurricanes are 8-0 in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, spoke to CFJC on Sunday [May 10], a day after the ‘Canes earned a 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers in Philadelphia to finish off the series sweep.

Carolina is the fifth team in league history to open the playoffs with an 8-0 record and the first to start the post-season with two consecutive sweeps since all four rounds became best-of-seven series in 1987.
