Kamloops traffic to be disrupted by Monday road work

KAMLOOPS — A pair of road projects in Kamloops will disrupt traffic in different parts of the city early this week.

On Monday (May 11), Lorne Street between 7th and 8th Avenue from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for road markings.

The City of Kamloops said only local traffic will be allowed, and all other traffic will be detoured along Front Street.

Elsewhere, road work will go ahead along McGill Road near Bunker Road starting Monday night.

The City said work will happen on Monday (May 11) and Tuesday (May 12), starting at 7 p.m. each night.

The road will be closed for half-hour periods while work is underway, with periodic traffic holds on McGill Road near Bunker Road.

Drivers are asked to plan ahead, expect delays and obey all signs and on-site traffic personnel.
