Thunderstorm warning issued for Kamloops area

KAMLOOPS — UPDATE (5:45 p.m.): Environment Canada has lifted the warning.
EARLIER: Environment Canada has issued a ‘yellow’ severe thunderstorm warning for the Kamloops area Wednesday evening (May 6).
Issued at 5:30 p.m., the warning notes a thunderstorm is tracking east from Monte Creek.
The forecaster warns pockets of heavy rain may lead to localized flash flooding and poor visibility on roadways.
A yellow warning is not as severe as an orange or red warning.
