CFJC named a finalist for three regional RTDNA awards

KAMLOOPS — CFJC News has been named a finalist for three major industry awards.


The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) announced its West Region award finalists Tuesday (May 5).

Into Thin Air, a series on missing persons investigations in the Kamloops area put together by Dylana Kneeshaw and Kent Simmonds, is a finalist in the multi-platform Enterprise Journalism category for small and medium markets.

Marty Hastings and Anthony Corea’s story chronicling how a local cancer patient received a donated bike from a 98.3 CIFM listener is the only finalist in the Feature News category for small and medium markets.

And CFJC’s coverage of the 2025 Remembrance Day ceremony at Riverside Park is a finalist for Live Special Events.

Award winners will be announced in September. Regional award winners will go on to compete at the national level.
