Vancouver man in custody for stealing and crashing Kamloops Transit bus
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP has a man in custody for his involvement in a suspected bus theft and collision on Saturday night (April 25).
Police said officers were dispatched to the 500-block of Lansdowne Street at about 9:50 p.m. for a report of a crash between a bus and a pickup truck.
“When officers arrived, they learned a 55-year-old man from Vancouver had stolen the bus while the driver had temporarily stepped away,” said Staff Sgt. Janelle Shoihet, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson.
