June 26, 1935 – April 13, 2026
Delia Robinson was born on June 26, 1935, in Kenora, Ontario to Louise and Daniel Robinson. The second of six children: Raymond, Delia, Leonard, Harold, Lorraine and Bunny. She died peacefully with family around her on April 13, 2026. Leaving five children: Chris Wightman, Carolyn Oien, Sandra Bukowski, Kelly Bukowski and Jason Bukowski. Ten grandchildren: Carla Oien, Dustin Schatowsky, Todd Schatowsky, Alexandra Watt, Mitch Horsman, Catherine Bukowski, Xavier Bukowski, Landon Bukowski, Adam Bukowski and Logan Bukowski. And four great-grandchildren: Riley Oien, Mila Schatowsky, Audrey Watt and Eva Watt.
Delia lived a full and long life at 90, almost 91 years old. A long life which generated a lot of stories, which she would share with us. Stories of growing up around and in Dryden Ontario onto Prince George, B.C. and then Kamloops, B.C. Her daughter Carolyn and granddaughter Alexandra always said she should write a book about her experiences. It could have been two volumes.
During her life Delia was a stay-at-home mother, a hairdresser, and a caregiver for two of her grandchildren, Alexandra and Mitch. A hard worker, she did many jobs throughout her life to help provide for her family. She loved children and animals and they were drawn to her kind spirit. She was also an artistic person in her younger years and liked embroidery and crafts. Delia travelled during her life visiting her children, relatives and friends throughout Canada as well as trips to the States.
We love her. She will be missed.
