Kamloops-Thompson School District to discuss annual budget
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops-Thompson School District’s (SD 73) Board of Education will discuss its 2026-2027 annual budget on Monday’s meeting (April 27).
The School District anticipates an overall budget of $255,959,384 for 2027 to cover operating costs, capital projects and its special purposes fund, which covers activities like early learning and minor capital projects.
This projection is about $2.5 million less than the amended 2026 annual budget of $258,485,123.
The SD 73 report states that the budget bylaw was drafted based on enrolment projections of 15,985 domestic full-time equivalent (FTE) students, 166 fewer than the 2025-2026 school year, and 180 FTE international students.
