SD73 confirms Elementary Visuals Arts program not ending

KAMLOOPS — Rumours circulating on social media speaking to the demise of the elementary visual arts programs at the Kamloops School of the Arts are not accurate, according to the Kamloops-Thompson School District. 

“The Elementary Visual Arts program will continue to be offered and remains an important part of KSA programming. The program will be offered in a different space at KSA starting in the 2026-2027 school year,” reads an emailed statement to CFJC News. 

The school district confirmed those details have been shared with parents in a message from the principal. Even so, some parents are still expressing concern.
