Large Kamloops RCMP presence blocks off section of 13th Street
UPDATE (8:15 a.m.): Kamloops RCMP say they responded to a report of a man with a gun who may be suffering from a mental health crisis.
Police Dog Services, the Southeast District Emergency Response Team and BC Emergency Health Services are also alongside Kamloops RCMP near 13th Street and Tranquille Road. In a news release, RCMP say they received the report at around 5:45 a.m. Tuesday.
“Police have apprehended one man and are continuing to investigate the firearm allegations,” Cpl. Dana Napier, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson says. “We are asking the public to please avoid the area at this time to allow investigators space to work.”
