Prince Harry Faces Defamation Lawsuit African Charity He Co-Founded
Prince Harry and former trustee Mark Dyer are being sued for defamation by Sentebale, the African charity Harry co-founded in 2006. The organization alleges the two men orchestrated a damaging media campaign that caused “operational disruption and reputational harm” while triggering “cyber-bullying directed at the charity and its leadership.” The charity seeks “court intervention, protection and restitution” following what it describes as coordinated adverse coverage. Harry’s reps rejected the claims, criticizing using charitable funds for litigation against people who “built and supported the organisation for nearly two decades.” Both co-founders resigned in March 2025 alongside several trustees, citing an irreparable relationship breakdown with the board chair. Harry established Sentebale to honor Princess Diana, focusing on youth health and inequality issues in Lesotho and Botswana.
