Schneider scores go-ahead run as Blue Jays top Dodgers 4-3 to end six-game skid

Jeff Hoffman survived a nervy ninth inning for his second save. The loss ended the Dodgers’ five-game winning streak.

Los Angeles starter Shohei Ohtani allowed four hits and an unearned run over six innings.

Toronto starter Dylan Cease was pulled in the sixth after loading the bases. Louis Varland gave up a sacrifice fly to Teoscar Hernandez that brought home Smith to make it 2-1.

Los Angeles (9-3) added another run in the seventh inning before Toronto (5-7) tied it with two runs in the bottom half. George Springer and Daulton Varsho drove in one run apiece.

Toronto outhit Los Angeles 8-6.
