108 Mile Ranch in the running for $50k heritage prize

108 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — The 108 Mile Ranch is one of 12 finalists in a cross-Canada competition meant to help promote and restore heritage sites.

Public voting opened Tuesday (April 7) for the Next Great Save, a contest put on by The National Trust for Canada.

The grand prize winner will receive $50,000 from the charity, with second- and third-place finishers receiving $10,000 and $5,000, respectively.

The 108 Mile Ranch is the only finalist from B.C. Other finalists include Niagara-on-the-Lake Museum in Ontario, and Fort Point Lighthouse Interpretation Centre in Newfoundland and Labrador.
