UPDATE: Pritchard water main break repaired

PRITCHARD B.C. — UPDATE (4:45 p.m.): Water service has been restored for all 36 properties in the Pritchard area following Wednesday’s (April 1) water main break.

“Emergency repair work is now completed following a water main break on the Pritchard Community Water System, and water service has been restored to all impacted customers,” said the Thompson-Nicola Regional District.

“If you remain without water, please contact TNRD Utility Services immediately at the after-hours phone line: 250-318-7515. Thank you for your patience while repair work has taken place.”

ORIGINAL STORY: A watermain break on Geralla Road in Pritchard has left 36 properties without service since Wednesday (April 1).

The service outage has impacted residents along Gerella Road, Bostock Crescent, and Riverview Place.

Thompson-Nicola Regional District staff and contractors have been working throughout the day and into the evening Wednesday and are back on site Thursday (April 2).

“Crews are on site continuing repairs following a significant water main break on Geralla Road within the Pritchard Community Water System,” said the TNRD.

“The emergency water outage remains in place for 36 properties on Gerella Road, Bostock Crescent, and Riverview Place.”

TNRD officials say staff delivered three 1-gallon water jugs to each of the impacted properties today while the emergency water outage is ongoing.

The TNRD will provide more updates as the situation develops.
