Megan Thee Stallion was hospitalized Tuesday evening after falling ill during her Broadway debut performance in Moulin Rouge! The Musical. Doctors diagnosed extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels. The Grammy-winning rapper missed Wednesday’s shows but plans to return Thursday. “Last night was a real wake-up call for me. I’ve been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough. It honestly scared me,” Stallion posted on Instagram. She exited mid-performance Tuesday and was replaced by another performer. Stallion plays The Zidler at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, becoming the first woman in that role. The show features her performing hits “Savage” and “Body.”
