Tiger Woods announced Tuesday he will seek treatment after his arrest for driving under the influence following a rollover crash in Florida. The golf legend posted on X that he’s “stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health.” Police found two hydrocodone pills in Woods’ pocket after Friday’s crash, according to a newly released arrest affidavit. Officers noted Woods had “bloodshot and glassy eyes,” “extremely dilated pupils,” and was “sweating profusely.” Woods told police he looked down at his phone before striking a truck’s trailer, causing his Land Rover to flip. He refused a urine test but passed a breath test for alcohol. Woods has undergone seven back surgeries and over twenty leg operations. This marks his second DUI arrest since 2017.
