Megan Thee Stallion was hospitalized in New York City Tuesday night after falling ill during her performance in Moulin Rouge! The Musical. Her representative Didier Morais confirmed she “started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated.” The Grammy-winning rapper made her Broadway debut last week at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, playing Zidler in the jukebox musical. Tuesday’s show began normally with Megan in opening scenes, but officials stopped the performance mid-show and asked audiences to remain seated. Another performer replaced her for the remainder of the show. Megan is the first woman to perform the Zidler role, previously filled by Boy George, Wayne Brady, and Bob the Drag Queen. The role was originated by Tony winner Danny Burstein.
