Blazers open WHL Playoffs with loss to Kelowna

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers fell 3-1 to the Kelowna Rockets in their opening matchup of the 2026 WHL Playoffs on Friday night (March 27).
Centre Jacob Dumansky scored the lone Blazers goal with 4.7 seconds left in the third period, avoiding a shutout loss.
Left Wing Vojtech Cihar scored two of the three goals for the Rockets, one of which was on an empty net in the third period.
The Blazers look to tie up the 1-0 series as they take on the Rockets for game two on Saturday night (March 28) at Prospera Place in Kelowna.
