100 Mile House ER closed Friday

100 MILE HOUSE — The emergency department at 100 Mile House General Hospital will be closed again on Friday (March 27), marking the seventh closure this month and 12th so far this year.

Interior Health said the ER will be closed from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., but all other inpatient services will continue to be available in the meantime.

In the meantime, patients can access emergency care at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake.

People in need of life-threatening emergency care should call 9-1-1 for transportation to the nearest available and appropriate facility.

Interior Health has not given a reason for the closure, though the health authority noted limited physician availability over spring break.
