Tina Fey became the first-ever host of SNL UK, delivering the inaugural monologue for the British version of Saturday Night Live. The comedian joked she was “the youngest person ever to host SNL UK” and explained why she got the gig: “None of you f—ers would do it.” Her monologue featured a surprise appearance from Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan, who questioned why a British icon like David Beckham or Judi Dench wasn’t hosting instead. Michael Cera also appeared, identifying himself as Canadian and “part of the commonwealth.” Talk show host Graham Norton joined Fey on stage to help her connect with British audiences by having her recite lines from classic UK shows including Fawlty Towers, Monty Python, and EastEnders using her British accent. Fey’s record as youngest host will end next week when Jamie Dornan takes over on March 28th, followed by Riz Ahmed on April 4th. (Story URL)
