Teen suspect arrested in violent Williams Lake middle school incident
WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Police have a teenaged suspect in custody after an incident at a Williams Lake middle school on Thursday (March 12) morning.
Williams Lake RCMP said officers responded to the Columneetza Junior Secondary School at about 11:15 a.m. when a 15-year-old boy injured a school employee.
He was apprehended by other staff and handed over to RCMP custody when officers arrived shortly after.
RCMP officers also place the school into a temporary ‘hold and secure,’ however, police said they do not believe there are any additional suspects at this time.
