KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP say their efforts have nabbed a serial shoplifter.

In a news release, Superintendent Jeff Pelley says the frontline officers and members of the detachment’s Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) joined forces with local retailers to gather the evidence they needed.

Last Friday (March 6), they arrested 34-year-old Robert Kohlman for failing to comply with a release order in relation to retail theft.

“Shoplifting creates a disproportionate amount of harm in our community, impacting employees, businesses and a sense of safety,” said Pelley. “Our Crime Reduction Unit continues to focus on the most active suspects through intelligence-led enforcement and strong partnerships with our business and retail community.”
