Disney+ Developing Live-Action Tinker Bell Series With ‘Friday Night Lights’ Writers

Disney+ is developing a new live-action series called Tink featuring the iconic Tinker Bell character from Peter Pan, marking the latest attempt to bring the fairy to screens after over a decade of development. The streamer considers this a “high priority project” with Friday Night Lights collaborators Liz Heldens and Bridget Carpenter as executive producers. Previous attempted versions included a 2010 romantic comedy starring Elizabeth Banks and a 2015 film with Reese Witherspoon attached. Heldens currently co-showruns ABC’s Will Trent and worked on The Dropout and The Orville. Carpenter’s credits include Only Murders in the Building, Westworld, and Parenthood.
