100 Mile House emergency room to close for sixth time in 2026
100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — Residents in the 100 Mile House area will be without emergency room coverage for 13 hours this weekend.
Interior Health says the emergency room at the 100 Mile House District General Hospital will be closed between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday (March 7). People who need emergency care are being told to head to Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake during this closure.
This is the sixth ER closure in 100 Mile House this year and the fourth in the last three weeks. In all, the emergency department has been unavailable for 90 hours this year.
As has been the case during past emergency room closures, Interior Health said people should call 9-1-1 if they need emergency care, or HealthLink BC at 8-1-1 if they aren’t sure if they need to head to the emergency room.
