One injured, one charged in Salmon Arm road rage stabbing
SALMON ARM, B.C. — A 52-year-old Shuswap man is facing a pair of assault charges after an apparent road rage-related stabbing incident on the weekend.
In a news release, Salmon Arm RCMP a man walked into the detachment Sunday (March 1) suffering from a ‘significant laceration’ and claiming he was stabbed in an altercation at a traffic light. The man had a pair of witnesses with him.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Mounties say they were able to identify a suspect vehicle and arrested its driver, Calvin Pavey, who is now facing charges of assault with a weapon and aggravated assault. Pavey has since been released with conditions.
