‘Sinners’ Dominates Actor Awards as ‘The Studio’ and ‘The Pitt’ Lead TV Categories

Sinners, the vampire film set in the segregated South, claimed top honors at Sunday’s 2026 Actor Awards, winning best ensemble while star Michael B. Jordan earned best lead actor. Director Ryan Coogler made history as the first filmmaker to helm two ensemble winners, previously winning with Black Panther in 2018. Jessie Buckley won best lead actress for Hamnet, while Sean Penn and Amy Madigan took supporting actor prizes for their villainous roles in One Battle After Another and Weapons respectively. On television, The Studio led with three wins including best comedy ensemble, while The Pitt captured two awards including best drama ensemble. Harrison Ford received the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Catherine O’Hara won posthumously for The Studio. The ceremony also addressed ongoing U.S.-Israel-Iran conflict with calls for peace.
