Robert Carradine, ‘Revenge Of The Nerds’ And ‘Lizzie McGuire’ Star, Dies At 71
Robert Carradine, beloved actor known for Revenge Of The Nerds and Lizzie McGuire, died Monday at age 71. His agent confirmed Carradine took his own life following a nearly two-decade battle with bipolar disorder. The Carradine family stated he “was always a beacon of light to everyone around him” and hopes his journey encourages addressing mental illness stigma. He debuted in 1972’s The Cowboys with John Wayne, later appearing in Coming Home and Mean Streets. His breakout role came as Lewis Skolnick in 1984’s Revenge of the Nerds and three sequels.
