Katherine Hartley Short, daughter of comedian Martin Short, has died at age 42. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a Hollywood Hills residence on February 23rd at 6:41 p.m. regarding a a possible suicide. Katherine was adopted by Martin Short and his late wife Nancy Dolman. She was a social worker and earned degrees from NYU and USC. (Story URL)


Reality star Katie Bates says she has entered intensive therapy one month after her husband, Travis Clark, admitted to having an affair. The update follows a difficult period in which Bates also experienced a pregnancy loss. In a Feb. 23 Instagram post, the 25-year-old Bringing Up Bates alum said she is focusing on healing and “taking it one day at a time.” Story URL


Russell Brand has pleaded not guilty to two new charges of rape and sexual assault. The former television host and actor entered his plea Tuesday morning at Southwark Crown Court in London. Prosecutors say the alleged offenses involve two women and date back to 2009. Brand is already facing similar accusations from at least six women. He remains free on bail. Story URL


MGM+ has renewed Robin Hood for a second, expanded season following strong first-season performance. The series stars Jack Patten, Lauren McQueen, and Sean Bean. John Wheeler, the actor and singer best known for his roles in Star Trek and a famous McDonald’s ad, has died at 95. His daughter confirmed he passed away February 6th at his home in California. Wheeler portrayed Ambassador Gav in the 1967 Star Trek episode “Journey to Babel,” and appeared in the 1971 musical commercial “Grab a Bucket and Mop.” Story URL


Prime Video has cast Ed Skrein as Baldur, the main villain in its upcoming adaptation of PlayStation’s God of War. Skrein, known for Jurassic World Rebirth, will star opposite Ryan Hurst (Sons Of Anarchy), who plays Kratos, a Spartan warrior. Aimee Lou Wood will star in a new television adaptation of Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre. The script is being written by Succession writer Miriam Battye, and a U.K. broadcaster is in advanced talks to join the project. Tim Daly has joined the NBC comedy pilot Newlyweds alongside his real-life wife Tea Leoni. The couple, who married in July 2025 after meeting on CBS drama Madam Secretary, will portray on-screen spouses in the show.
