KSAR says injured person rescued after vehicle goes over embankment on Goose Lake Road
KAMLOOPS — Details are limited, but Kamloops Search and Rescue (KSAR) says it was called out to help an injured person on Goose Lake Road, south of city limits this weekend.
In a post on social media, KSAR says 14 of its members – including members of the rope rescue team – responded to a call from the BC Ambulance Service around 1:30 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 21) morning. KSAR notes the victim suffered upper leg injuries after a vehicle had driven over an embankment.
“Upon arrival, the team was stood down as civilians on scene had successfully evacuated the subject,” the post from KSAR said. “We’re grateful for a positive outcome and for the quick actions of those who assisted.”
This is a developing story, and more information will be provided once it’s available.
