Chappell Roan Leaves Wasserman Agency Over Epstein Connection Controversy
Chappell Roan announced on Monday (Feb. 9) that she is no longer represented by Wasserman talent agency following revelations about founder Casey Wasserman‘s suggestive emails with Ghislaine Maxwell. “I hold my teams to the highest standards and have a duty to protect them as well,” Roan wrote on her Instagram Story. “No artist, agent or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our own moral values. I refuse to passively stand by.” Other artists including Dropkick Murphys, Chelsea Cutler, Wednesday, and Hippo Campus have also left the agency, while Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino, Water From Your Eyes, and Beach Bunny have demanded that Wasserman step down and remove his name from the agency. Wasserman previously told The New York Times “I deeply regret my correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell, which took place over two decades ago, long before her horrific crimes came to light.” Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn has also called for Wasserman to resign from chairing the 2028 Olympics organizing committee.
