Bill Nye To Receive Lifetime Achievement Honor At Children’s & Family Emmy Awards

Bill Nye will receive the Lifetime Achievement Honor at this year’s Children’s & Family Emmy Awards. The science educator and Emmy-winning host of Bill Nye the Science Guy will be celebrated at ceremonies March 1-2 in New York City. Nye recently received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Biden in 2025 and earned a Hollywood Walk of Fame star. “I believe that the process of science is the best idea humans have ever had,” Nye said in a statement, adding he loved making shows encouraging kids to embrace science’s “Passion, Beauty, and Joy.” NATAS President Adam Sharp called Nye “one of the most revered broadcast educators in television history” who instilled multiple generations with science appreciation.
