BTS Announces Comeback Album, Global Livestream Performance, And Netflix Documentary
BTS will release their highly-anticipated new album, Arirang, on March 20, marking their first studio record since 2020’s Map of the Soul: 7. To celebrate the release, the K-pop boy band will perform live from historic Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on March 21 at 7 a.m. ET in a worldwide Netflix livestream event titled, BTS the Comeback Live | Arirang. That will be followed by a Netflix documentary called BTS: The Return, which is directed by Bao Nguyen and is set to premiere on March 27. The film follows members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, V, Jimin, and Jung Kook as they reunite to create their new album in Los Angeles, with the project described as “a portrait of resilience, brotherhood, and reinvention.” BTS will launch a world tour on April 9 in Goyang, South Korea, which runs through March 2027 and includes stops in Tokyo, Mexico City, Las Vegas, Busan, London, Paris, Chicago, Toronto, Sydney, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Manila.
