Catherine O’Hara passed away Friday at her Los Angeles home following a “brief illness.” The 71-year-old actress gained fame through five decades in entertainment, starting with the Emmy-winning Second City Television, which she co-created with Eugene Levy. O’Hara earned widespread recognition portraying Delia in Beetlejuice, Kevin’s mother in the first two Home Alone films, and several Christopher Guest mockumentaries including Best In Show and Waiting For Guffman. She also experienced a late renaissance playing Moira Rose in Schitt’s Creek, earning her second Emmy. Her other recent projects included Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, The Last Of Us, and The Studio.
