‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Was 2025’s Most-Streamed Movie, ‘Stranger Things’ Led TV

Stranger Things claimed the top spot on Nielsen’s list of most-streamed original series of 2025 with 39.54 billion minutes viewed in the U.S. The fifth and final season’s holiday release strategy contributed 25.1 billion minutes over just five weeks, with data not including the New Year’s Eve series finale. Squid Game finished second with 22.41 billion minutes as its Korean thriller concluded in June. Netflix dominated with five of the top ten originals, including Wednesday at number three with 20 billion minutes. KPop Demon Hunters dominated 2025 streaming on the movie side with 20.5 billion U.S. viewing minutes, equivalent to 207 million complete watches.
