Charli XCX’s New “Residue” Music Video Features Surprise Cameo From Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner appears in an unexpected cameo at the end of Charli XCX‘s new “Residue” music video, released on Tuesday (Jan. 27). The visual supports A.G. Cook‘s track from upcoming A24 film, The Moment, a mockumentary about Charli’s 2024 Brat era. The video shows Charli smoking and walking through a warehouse filled with her clones, who dance before strobing screens displaying messages like “Don’t let it be over” and “Dead horse.” The finale reveals Jenner taking a drag from a cigarette where viewers expect another Charli clone. Cook, who worked as a producer on Brat, created the film’s score. The Moment hits theaters on January 30, and features Charli and Jenner starring alongside Rosanna Arquette, Rachel Sennott, Kate Berlant, and Alexander Skarsgård. At Sundance, Charli said “Right now, I am like the me in the film where I am wanting Brat to stop and pivot. That is not because I don’t love it, it’s just because for all of us as artists, you want to challenge yourself.” (Billboard)
