Universal Pictures has tapped Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore to helm a feature film adaptation of Murder, She Wrote starring Oscar winner Jamie Lee Curtis. She will take on the iconic Jessica Fletcher role originally played by Angela Lansbury in the beloved CBS series that ran from 1984 to 1996. The show followed the retired teacher as she became a mystery writer with an extraordinary talent for solving real murders, primarily set in Cabot Cove, Maine — though she often traveled to other locales. Lansbury earned Emmy nominations for Lead Actress in a Drama Series every year the show aired during its successful 12-year run.
