February 5, 1961 – January 13, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth “Beth” Lee Metzner (Emerson) on January 13, 2026, in Kamloops, British Columbia, surrounded by her family.
Beth was born on February 5, 1961, in Calgary, Alberta, to Harold and Elaine Emerson. In 1970, she moved to Kamloops with her parents and her brother, Dustan. Kamloops became her lifelong home, where she built a beautiful life and raised her family.
Beth will be lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother. She was the heart of her family—steadfast, caring, and endlessly giving. She found her greatest joy in looking after those she loved, tending her gardens, preparing countless family meals, and ensuring everyone around her felt cared for and supported.
Beth approached everything she did with dedication and pride, never cutting corners and always striving for excellence.
She was predeceased by her parents, Elaine (2006) and Harold (2014), and her beloved grandson, Axel. Beth is survived by her loving husband, Chris; her brother, Dustan; her children, Stephanie, Joseph (Pam), and Aaron (Jessica); and her cherished grandchildren: Korbyn, Lynaya, Stephanie, Kendra, Mikayla, Logan, Kamdyn, and Maci Jean.
In keeping with Beth’s wishes, no memorial service will be held. Family and friends will gather at a later date, when the flowers are in bloom, to remember her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beth’s name to the Kamloops Hospice.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Royal Inland Hospital and the Kamloops Hospice for their exceptional care and kindness during Beth’s final days.
Beth will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who loved her.
