RCMP looking for person of interest in reported groping incident downtown
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are looking to speak with a person of interest regarding a reported groping incident that took place before the winter holidays.
Just before 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 20, 2025, Kamloops RCMP say a woman was groped by a man while she was shopping in the 450-block of Lansdowne Street. In a news release issued Wednesday (Jan. 14), police say the man ran away after he was confronted by security.
While police did not specify where the incident happened, the 450-block of Lansdowne Street is the location of the Lansdowne Village Shopping Centre.
A surveillance photo of the person of interest – who appears to be entering the Save-On-Foods on Lansdowne Street – shows a man wearing a black sweater, black toque and beige cargo pants.
