Sky has ordered a new TV adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s bestselling novel The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. The eight-episode Sky Original begins this spring in Lithuania. The series will air on Sky in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Sony Pictures Television will manage international distribution, including U.S. pre-sales. (Story URL)


Lego has entered the Pokémon world with its first collection of buildable Pokémon sets, launching globally on February 27th. The debut line features five popular characters—Pikachu, Eevee, Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise. The main set, Pokémon Pikachu and Poké Ball, includes 2,050 pieces and depicts Pikachu bursting from a Poké Ball. (Story URL)


NBC has decided not to air an upcoming episode of Law & Order: SVU featuring actor Timothy Busfield due to the allegations against him. The episode, titled “Corrosive,” was scheduled for Jan. 15 but has now been shelved. Instead, NBC will broadcast the episode originally planned for Jan. 22. Michelle Williams has joined the cast of Damien Chazelle’s next untitled drama, which already stars Cillian Murphy and Daniel Craig. Unconfirmed rumors say the story may take place inside a prison. Barry Manilow has announced new and rescheduled tour dates following treatment for stage-one lung cancer.
