Man seriously injured in Sunday house fire on Tk’emlups reserve
TK’EMLUPS — RCMP say a man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a house on the Tk’emlups reserve was destroyed by fire Sunday (Jan. 11) night.
In a statement, Tk’emlups Rural RCMP says officers responded to the 600-block of Shuswap Road around 11:45 p.m. to assist Kamloops Fire Rescue and the BC Ambulance Service.
“During the early stages of the investigation the cause of the fire is still being determined,” RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Dana Napier said. “Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP will continue to work with Kamloops Fire Rescue to identify the cause of the fire that burned the residence to the ground.”
