Kamloops Chamber of Commerce says businesses across all sectors saw a steady 2025

KAMLOOPS – 2025 was a year of constant change for many businesses across Kamloops, due to various factors beyond their control, including labour unrest, trade uncertainty and economic hardship.

The previous year was a focus at a recent Kamloops and District Chamber of Commerce event, with many companies affiliated with the chamber stating 2025 was a steady year in the Kamloops area, despite the struggles they had faced throughout.

“I think for a lot of businesses, 2025 was a year of ups and downs. We started the year with trade uncertainty with the United States. That uncertainty kind of underpinned a lot of business activity throughout the course of 2025. There were a lot of good things that happened in the business community over the year, but a lot of our members are kind of looking ahead to this next year,” said Acacia Pangilinan, the organization’s executive director.

The chamber says even if 2026 is as unstable as 2025, many organizations have learned to alter how they connect to customers.
