‘KPop Demon Hunters” dominates 2026 Annie Awards

Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters leads the 2026 Annie Awards with 13 nominations, while Pixar’s Elio follows with 10. Disney Animation’s Zootopia 2 and Gkids’ Little Amélie or the Character of Rain each earned five nominations. These four titles will compete alongside DreamWorks’ The Bad Guys 2 for Best Feature. ASIFA-Hollywood announced nominees across 32 categories Monday, with the 53rd ceremony set for February 21st at UCLA’s Royce Hall. Since 2002, fourteen of twenty-three Annie Best Feature winners have claimed the Oscar, though last year Flow broke the trend by winning the Academy Award over Annie favorite The Wild Robot.
