Miley Cyrus confronts photographers who demanded she take her sunglasses off
Miley Cyrus stood up to photographers who demanded she remove her sunglasses during the Palm Springs International Film Awards red carpet event on Saturday, January 3. The 33-year-old Grammy-winning singer was posing when she put on sunglasses, prompting a photographer to yell “No! No! No! No!” Cyrus directly confronted the cameraman in a video clip that has since gone viral, telling him, “If you yell at me, I do the opposite. I’ve known you for 20 years. If you tell me not to put the glasses on, I put them on.” She suggested using reverse psychology, saying “Just go, ‘Oh, I love the glasses!’ and I’ll take the glasses off.” Cyrus was on hand to receive the Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award for her song “Dream as One,” which is featured in James Cameron‘s Avatar: Fire and Ash. The track – written by Cyrus along with Andrew Wyatt, Mark Ronson, and Simon Franglen – is also on the Oscar shortlist for Best Original Song, with the finalists set to be announced on January 22.
