Christmas tree chipping available throughout Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — While debate remains around the correct time to put up your Christmas tree, it’s seems fairly universal to bring them down promptly after the holidays conclude.
The city of Kamloops has set up 12 locations across the city, including MacArthur Island, the Dallas Fire Hall, and Westsyde Park to help with getting rid off of your real Christmas tree.
“Please bring them in and drop them off,” said Joe Luison, the City of Kamloops’ civic operations assistant director and public works divisional manager. “I believe last year there was just over 4,600 trees recycled. And they all get reused into compost and such for playing fields. So it’s all on the city website, so take a look at that and it will show you all the locations But yes, drop them off and we will get them recycled instead of them going to waste.”
