Salvation Army Kamloops making final push to reach kettle campaign goal
KAMLOOPS — With two days left in their kettle campaign, the Kamloops Salvation Army is hoping for a final donation push to reach this year’s fundraising goal.
Money donated through the kettle campaign is used for local programs, meals, and other services offered by the Kamloops Salvation Army. Volunteers are ringing the bells with a little more energy this week, as the organization says they will need a last minute swell in donations to hit their goal.
“Our goal is $240,000, and we’re at $212,000 and a little bit so we still need $27,000 more to go. We’ve got today and most of tomorrow,” says Major Orest Goyak, “So please come out. We’re out here at Walmart, you can see all the action, everybody is coming and doing their last minute shopping, and we’re very excited that we’re getting close to that goal.”
