100 Mile House emergency department to temporarily close for third time in December

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — For the third time in December, the emergency department at 100 Mile House District General Hospital will be temporarily closed.

In a news release, Interior Health says emergency services in 100 Mile House will be unavailable from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday (Dec. 22).

Residents in 100 Mile House and area are being rerouted to Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake during the temporary 13-hour closure.

As has been the case during past emergency room closures, Interior Health said people should call 9-1-1 if they need emergency care, or HealthLink BC at 8-1-1 if they aren’t sure if they need to head to the emergency room.

This is the 26th temporary emergency room closure at 100 Mile House District General Hospital in 2025. The ER has been unavailable for 327 hours this year, which amounts to a little over 13.5 days.
