Thompson Blazers win Female A Kendra Woodland Division at KIBIHT 2025

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson Blazers have won the Kendra Woodland Division at the 2025 Kamloops International Bantam Ice Hockey Tournament (KIBIHT).

The Blazers beat the previously undefeated North Island Impact 5-3 in Sunday’s (Dec. 21) championship game at McArthur Island.

Goals from Spencer Smith in the first and Aubrey Fehr in the second had the Blazers up 2-0 after two periods. Fehr and Anisha Litt added two more goals in the third before the Impact scored three unanswered to make it a 4-3 game.

Teagan O’Neill scored an empty netter with 31 seconds left to play to seal the win, and the championship.

The Blazers went 2-1-1 in round-robin play as they beat the Wild Angels 4-3 and the North Zone Novas 5-1, lost 8-2 to the Impact and tied the West Kootenay Wildcats 2-2.

They then beat the Angels 5-3 in a Sunday morning semi-final to set up the rematch against the Impact.

Elsewhere at the 56th edition of KIBIHT, the Thunder Huskies beat Chilliwack 6-1 to win the Tier 2 Founders Division while the undefeated Seklerland Hockey Academy from Romania beat the NorthEast BC Trackers 4-1 to win the Tier 1 AA Randy Lindros Division.
