The advisory was put in place around 12:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19, and Drive BC says people may experience major delays due to winter weather conditions with heavy snowfall and high winds forecast into Saturday (Dec. 20) and possibly beyond.
“Power to facilities and charging stations may be impacted or unavailable,” the DriveBC advisory added.
A yellow level snowfall warning remains in effect on the Coquihalla between Hope and Merritt, with Environment Canada forecasting between 20 and 35 cm of snow to fall today into tonight, and another 10 to 15 cm tomorrow, Dec. 21.
